Dokusan Film is an independent documentary film production company based in Vienna, founded by Fritz Ofner.

The company focuses on developing and producing ambitious, internationally relevant films with a strong artistic vision and social impact.

The name Dokusan comes from Japanese Zen tradition. It refers to the intimate dialogue between master and student about the nature of reality — a moment of shared insight, directness, and transformation. This spirit of deep questioning and honest exchange reflects the way we want to make documentaries: as a dialogue with the world, open to complexity, grounded in experience.
